New Kneelo

Post by kneejay17 »

I started kneeboarding this past November after 30 years of surfing because of a shoulder injury, and needless to say, I love it. I'm in North County San Diego and I have only met one kneeboarder in the water. Where should I be looking to connect to other kneeboarders, either in SD county or Orange County? I started surfing in the early 80s in New Jersey before surf schools and private teachers and all that, and in a lot of ways I feel like I'm that 12 year old kid again who has no idea what he's doing...but it's fun so I'm just going to keep doing it! Any advice/info/guidance/suggestions would be most welcome.

Blacks beach is infested with kneeboarders. But its probably out of your comfort zone.
Oceanside has a few octogenarians who still manage to do it.

Kneeboarding is great. I surf south OC most of the time and will do day trips. Lets paddle out sometime. Little peelers are big healers.
