has anyone come up with a way to train on land?
of course one can practice popping up onto the knees, but for balance, speed sensation etc?
kind of like a kneeboard skateboard?
be good to be able to slide down a hill, practice grabbing a rail, sweeping left & right

Re: Dry Land training
There is a piece of work out equipment called a Bosu. it is basically 1/2 of a large ball. you can use it ball side down on your knees. This will help wit balance. There is also a product called a bongo board that can be used the same fashion. Yoga is also great for flexibility. I do a lot of cycling to keep up on my endurance. Nothing beats water time.
