Shark attack
Moderator: Moderator
I was watching some blokes practicing their tow-in surfing up here in wa. They travel up and down the coast as they look and catch the waves that they want, driving from the deep and into the shallows, covering a lot of ground in a very efficient manner, a zig zagging pattern ranging from 0 to 1000metres from the shore. The same tactic is often employed when game fishing, trolling lures in a current line looking for that elusive marlin (or the needle in the hay stack). The thinking being, if there’s one there with this tactic it will have to see your "lure" sooner or later. I wonder with this type of tow-in surfing if there’s “one there”
it will see them sooner or later. I hope not, but they seemed to cover every square inch of coast for at least 10 kilometres, the same tactic I would use if I was looking for a white. Has anyone heard of any tow-in shark attacks ???

cheers Timo
