Lighthouse today
double to triple overhead on the rideable waves...who knows on the closeouts. Pipeline like double-ups on the inside. lots of broken boards and one wasted jetski in the last few days with even bigger stuff coming tomorrow.
winds are kona and howling offshore. typical Big Isle. 1-2' one week.......scratching for your life the next.

Parts of Santa Cruz were so fogged in this afternoon you couldn't see the waves at all from the beach. My favorite place above Mitchell's Cove was 15' and really goin' off, but about 35 guys in the water--it was one of the few places that wasn't fogged in. Too many guys.
So it was back to Pleasure Point and paddling out into the fog, not knowing what to expect, but was pleasantly surprised. The fog sure knocked the crowd down (about 10 of us) and enjoyed fading swell but still with occasional sets up to DOH surf. Got one or two that I'll remember for awhile along with paddling out into the mist.
