Fun afternoon at Pleasure Point - just me and 35 of my 'bestest' friends.
Actually, had a fun time surfing with a bunch of long time friends.
No wind and glassy OH+ faces.

Fun yesterday.Surfed the local right for a few hrs Local crew only to about shoulder.Saw kenM surfing the left on the bobo side after the outgoing started, getting some fun ones, the crowd didn't look to bad.
Bigger today with more push.3 hr session on the left to HH on the sets.Top of the tide the crowd was.... ..... Got some fun ones, tomorrow will be a zoo.
If the swell stays tom.we'll check out a local hidey hole.No crowd guaranteed,a bit on the dicey side, large boulders and there's been a 8-10 ft terminator cruising the area....but it won't be crowded...

cheers

I'm dieing for a surf. Too many weeks in a row of sloppy wind chop. I'd be willing to skip work if you could tell me where to catch up to you K-man. Otherwise it looks like I'll be joining the Bo crowd Saturday evening or more likely Sunday.
It could be worse, I could be in Oakla-homa.

AM...swells supposed to drop tom and sun.Just got back from the evening check in town...dribbling.Friends surfed the rocky place and said it was OK but had wind/bump on it,not very appetizing..Minus 1.2 about 6am tom, sketchy in town till later in the morning.Gonna play it by ear.Lots of water coming out the lagoon, hard to stay in position.
I'll probably check it at dawn...doubtful...never say never. No cell phone, hard to reach.

cheers

Thanks for the report, too bad it wasn't a better forecast. I guess I'll just go to work and bite my lip and wait for the stars to align. Good news is we're just a little bit closer to fall.
It could be worse, I could be in Oakla-homa.

mags was 5-7 and offshore today... first 2 waves were 3 second barrels that turned to rippable walls... super challenging on the mat but equally rewarding..

max funny you should mention living right,... after my all-time session i found a new ipod sticking out of the sand!! I was sooooo stoked as ive had 2 ipods stolen from me at partys this year :x

15 minutes later i see a dude scanning the sand ...like a total a$$ i ignore him and start walking back to the car....but then i feel a horrible pain in my gut....i try to ignore it but its too painful..... i walk up to the guy and give him back his ipod and apologize for not doing it sooner...

turns out hes a well known pro booger who ive seen in countless magazines and has a reputation for his massive wedge charging ... anthony sovoji ... he offered to hook me up with some gear but i couldnt accept it...

i swear i feel like i was being tested by god... when i gave him back his ipod it felt like a 100 ib weight was lifted off my chest 8)

as for all the awsome sessions ive been having... well i know how to read the tide charts and to ignore the wind charts...S wind has little affect there...if anyone sent me a pm with their number id be willing to send them a text surf report...

Karma will come back to you...due unto others...These kinds of deeds have a way of paying you back. Just hearing about it makes me think positive thougths towards you and we have never even met. Perhaps it will only be that your next few sessions are as good as you hoped for, or maybe something more...

" first 2 waves were 3 second barrels that turned to rippable walls"

Sounds like he was pre-warded.

Or is it pre-rewarded?

No, prewarded sounds right.

surf report

Post by stevea »

About 8 hours after landing we arrive at a secret spot somewhere in Indo ,now we wernt the only ones to know about it but we did get to surf a fun left hand point which ran for about 200m+ down the edge of a boulders by ourselves for an hour or so
The next morning the predicted rise in swell is on the verge of maxing out the right hand reef it not so much fun dodging the closeout bombs and the Doc has the place wired after 23 yrs surfing there and picks some choice sets while i get hammered bashed smashed and dragged down the boulder strewn beach looking for a spot to beach myself
I look for sanctuary behind the video camera but tide and wind have had their way
Roosters dont crow until Doc gets up ,we find ourselves back at the semi secret right not waiting for the sun its perfect 4-5ft glassy barrels ,Im happy to get a couple of smaller ones as i see Doc pull into a really deep barrel and emerge down the line the smile on his face says it all
But he is not finished yet even after the crowd thickens with a united nations of surfing he dominates the take off while i scramble for scraps
All in all it was a great 3 days so much so next time im going for 10 if your coming to Indo and spending some time here i highly recommend spending some of it where we were
