August 1 Parkes shipment - US West Coast
All,
In order to keep the lag time down between orders and shipments, David is sending shipments here every 2-3 months. It works like this:
Shipment # will be assigned (Date format MMDDYY).
Shipment Status will be Custom / Stock and change as orders are taken.
Shipment Date is date followed by P-planned or A-actual
_________________________________________
Shipment #: 080105
Status: 1/3
Date: 08/01/05 (p)
_________________________________________
Shipments of Custom & Stock boards will be in a 4 board box.
Custom orders submitted between now and July 1 will be priority in the shipment leaving Australia Aug 1 (arriving LA or SF).
Stock boards will fill the remaining spots in the box if there are less than 4 custom board orders.
There's room for a few accessories as well - pads, knit board covers, travel covers, shirts, etc.
This should alleviate lag time in order and fulfillment.
We'll set up another shipment after the July 1 order gets done.
PS. This could work well for all international shapers if they get the distribution points set up... food for thought.

shipments
Hey Don.
I just sent you a pm related to this topic. So this is how it's done huh? I guess my question is when is the next shipment and can I have a pad sent along with it?
Is there any room??
Thanks, Jim Morales

Bubbles
Off topic slightly, but I found the bubbles great when new, but after wearing, they became slippery.Jimbo wrote:Bubbles or Gray???? The new bubbles don't seem to be as sturdy as the old ones.
The grey ones with the angular grooves works for me....

Re: Bubbles
I've been using the bubble pads for the last ten years with no trouble, then a couple of years ago I had the same problem with a set . Just happened one day; went super slippery, as though slime had grown on the surface. Went to see DP and he sorted me out a replacement set no worries. No further problems, but I'll probably try the grey next trip. No reason other than curiosity. Those bubbles are really comfortable.Doc Turbo wrote:Off topic slightly, but I found the bubbles great when new, but after wearing, they became slippery.Jimbo wrote:Bubbles or Gray???? Re: Bubbles
I have had this happen to me once before, Dave suggested I take some 80 grit sand paper and rough them up a little, after that I had no problems with those pads.Doc Turbo wrote:Off topic slightly, but I found the bubbles great when new, but after wearing, they became slippery.Jimbo wrote:Bubbles or Gray???? Agreed.switched from bubbles to gray, they seem to be more durable.Gray's not quite as squishy as bubbles;doesn't seem to matter.
Niuhi also makes a good pad.Fronts are longer, and for me create a bit more traction, and there's some wiggle room in cases of missed sweet spot.Fairly thin with micro dots. Both work well.
cheers
