BIG SMILES
THANKS FOR SHARING MATE
is still Great to watch you surf!
I got just as pumped watching this time as I did 13 years ago
made me feel like i should get up off your lounge and walk across the street
to check the surf while i waited for you to get off work
or just lean over grab the 'billy' and hit rewind (vcr days) to watch it again
Thanks for all the smiles

Good on ya Mr Steen... About time you put this shiz up.
I remember watching this at your pad when i was a grom. Damn that seems like only yesterday. Your still the most influential kneelo to me coach, no one else was doing stuff like this back then and very few are now even.
spewin you cant get out there anymore... Probably not as much as you are though.
He's got plenty more of this stuff lying around people so keep hounding him to get it out of the vault.

Seriously, my missus grew up with Steeno, more years ago than either of them would care to recall. The time and experiences they shared back then forged a friendship that has and will endure, one that includes a small but pretty select group of people who are probably the most genuine I've ever known, and I reckon I've been around a bit. A completely natural, generous humanity is just one of the things that makes The Coach such a nice guy. Anyway, I showed this Maldives footage to my missus the other day, called her over to the screen and said, "Hey, check this out." She looked for a few seconds at the grainy image of a kneeboarder going up and down and flying through the air in a inch and a half frame on the screen, and then she says;
"Oh, that's Steen."
"How do you know?" says I.
"Oh I'd recognise his style anywhere. I spent years watching him surf."
"Oh really?"
If anyone deserves to be a legend in his own lifetime, or in anyone else's for that matter, Steen Barnes does. For what he's done, for what he represents, and for what he continues to give to the world in several different ways. The response in the posts above is confirmation enough. Good onya mate! The world wishes you well because you deserve it.
"Well it beats all I ever seen."

Great no fkn great ,I think Potz and all the standup surfers who inspired you would feel proud of their influence ,but even better thing is that theres a whole pile of kneeboard surfers that had never seen you surf who will benefit from your performance hence influence
