I just got a call from Jack Royed, a fellow Kb'er from Los Alimitos. He just left seven days of pumping surf down at Las Flores in El Salvador.
As he was getting ready to leave the camp. He started to pack his boards up for the ride home. At that moment, a new wave of surfers arrived. The new surfers were somewhat bumbed as their boards got delayed back in Los Angeles.
One of the new arrivials walks over to Jack and asks if that is his kneeboard. Jack said it was his. The new bumbed surfer, goes on to tell him that he is a kneeboarder and that is there any way that he could use his board and flippers. Before Jack says anything, he's says to the new surfer, "I know you". The new surfer says maybe you do, I'm Danny Robertson from Newport Beach, CA. Jack, says, "No way, I know your brother Mark. In fact, I bought this board off him."
Danny tells Jack, that he saved his life as the waves were pumping.
Jack, "thanks for bailing my bro out." I hope he lightned your load.

Awesome story for Danny or should we dub him Mr. Lucky. What are the odds first of all that you run into another kneelo on a surf trip and second he knows you or your bro. Our little community is pretty tight. I guess I shouldn't be surprised. Hey Dan I swear I will get your stuff back to you this week.
