Hoodies, we need some HB contest hoodies! Chopper Read says, "give me an F'n hoodie, or I'll chop yer F'n ears off!"
Team comp, I think we could pull out the Lake Street team along with the Cove Boys to compete with anyone.
There's some funny shite on this thread.
I am a traveller of both time and space, a weaver in and out of dreams, I see worlds seldom seen.
Only two and a half weeks until Registration Deadline!
Less than 20 spots left in the Open - Register before it's too late.
This year's event is limited to 64 contestants. Get your entries in now so you don't get left out.
I've started a separate forum topic on this but fyi...
If you're considering going to Phillip Island next year for the World Titles you should know that rankings for the U.S. team will be determined by the results of both the 2010 and 2011 KSUSA Titles. We want to field the best possible team at the next world titles so we'll be taking results from both these contests to seed our overseas team. Currently there are only a handful of slots open for the 2010 KSUSA Titles at Hungtington Beach so get your entry in if you want to give yourself the best possible chance at a high ranking. More details will be provided soon on www.ksusa.org
We've already filled the Open event with 64 entries. If your name does not appear on the list and you have entered on-line or by mail, send me a PM and I'll add your name. Competitors after number 64 will be placed on the alternates list. There are always a few spots that open up, so it shouldn't be an issue.
Still plenty of room for Juniors and women.
If you have entered and cannot make it for any reason, send me a PM so we can open a spot for another competitor.
SF: Glad to hear you can make the trip! The swells are lining up and it should be a great time catching up with everyone. Can't wait to see what the kneelo cove boys come with for this year's t-shirt!
We usually have 3-8 openings for alternates. Alternates should be waiting on the beach in their wetsuit ready to compete at 7:00AM so as to grab a jersey in the minutes before a heat when the beach marshall determines that a "no show" has occurred. We will work hard to get all alternates in the event.
For a dying sport we certainly seem healthy!! I believe that this is the earliest we have ever attained 64 entries. Our Juniors event is really shaping up to substantial. We have 9 entries so far and I know of 2-3 additional juniors that may enter. Also, several of the Juniors have become excellent surfers who will give the older guys a run for their money in the Open as well.
On-line registration is now closed. The open event has been filled. There is still room for Juniors and Women's event entries. Check the contest web page for the current list of entries.
