good on you am. It wasn't until walking back to car at Noriega that I could see the shape was much better where you were. I did not spend enough time checking just parked, suited up, and dove in. Interestingly the current was not that bad where I was. Next time :(

Just returned from Christmas in Idaho where it was a brisk 5F.
While there I had my finger (I thought I'd sprained) X-rayed.
Doc said I'd broken it.
No wonder it took so long to heal.
About 85% mobility now.
Flew in and out of SFO for my layover and saw from the air, OB and points South going off. 8)
Had my first surf (in months) at Kahuku yesterday afternoon.
Nice steady Kona winds grooming the 3-6' beautiful, crystal blue, warm water peaks, walls and bowls.
Surfed with 3 people for the first 30 min., then alone for the next 1 1/2 hours.
Kinda sketchy being way out there all alone.
Almost felt lonely.
Pumping surf non stop since August. Guess folks out here are surfed out. :)

Surfed 10-12', sometimes bigger faces at "Foreceps" with only 4 other guys, glassy and with very long walls. Even a larger swell on the way by Tuesday. Yes, best winter in a long time thus far; I've used by Blast "gun" more in the last month than I did all of last year! Thanks, Bud--it's that old roundtail board from Mike McGuire that still works great for me.
I'm not influenced by the past; I change it!
