Blue\black duckfeet vs. Lime green\blue any difference?

Post by alfredo zavala »

Q. Is the rubber on the Blue\black colored duck feet softer than the Green\blue color combo?
I have a pair of the green\blue variety I bought a few years ago and they are far too stiff in comparison with my very old and falling apart blue\black variety. I'm thinking of buying a new blue\black pair, but am not sure if the rubber is different or not.
Or if anyone out there has a pair of the "soft ones" for sale I'm interested.
Waiting for the tribes feedback.

Hi Alfredo I also Have The Green /Blue Duckfeet ,And Yes They Are Very Stiff. What I Did Was Grind Down On The Rib On All 4 Side About 1/4 Inch .And It Helped Alot ,It Made It Very Loose. As Of Black/Blue Duckfeet They Are Hard To Find,The Rubber Is Softer, I Think The Rubber Is More Pure On The Old Duckfeet. Now They Mix The Rubber With Plastic & Other Junk to Cut The Cost Down. Good Luck ,Let Me Know How It Came Out .& Ill Keep My Eye Open For You . :D What Size Do You Use.

Don't know whether you can get these in the states, but they're brilliant. I wore Churchills for 30 years before trying these. Still plenty of drive but soft and flexible with no cursed toe cramps.

Hey Alfredo.

I agree! I posted earlier this summer and MikeF checked with the Frog House and it sounds like they have them. Googlefog was able to help me out with a set 8) .

Take care and good luck!

duck feet

Post by badknees1 »

I have several pair of med, large and xxl blue/black duck feet and if could stop the leg cramps I'd still usem because of the softer rubber...but at 54 those big muscles in the back of my leg will shut down and knot up within an hour with duckies, but the power sure felt good once you start going. I have tried the green and orange ones but they are even worse. I admire whoever uses ducks. Anyone use the UDT duckfeet. In the late 70's my fellow kneelos and I were always looking for them but never saw them, kind of a mystery to us but maybe we didn't seach hard enough.

duck feets

Alfredo I looked in the shed and found only XL blue black ducks. That size fits shoe size 9-11. They feel soft but not too soft to me. Sorry I thought I had some Larges. I know youw want Large size blues so i went to craigs list and found a guy in Laguna who just posted what he says are blue black ducks size Large. You can see them in the OC Craigs list under swin fins or Voit swim fins etc. called him last night, he's a little gruff, but said he has these Large blue black duckfeet and will sell em for 25$....he says they are less than a year old. His number is 949 510 1767. You can have my old XL's if you want but I know that a bad fit in Duckfeet and be a problem but perhaps with fins socks they would work, let me know ...I have 4E feet so I have 2 pairs of what they call Super XL for feet 11-13.....dang who needs fins! My other phone is 562-965-1923.
