pasta point maldives
hi everyone,does anyone have any info or suggestions on staying at dhonveli resort in the maldives. i have done a bit of research and it seems that if you plan to surf you can only book through atoll travel,is this true.any tips appreciated,thanks damo(the newcastle one,go the novos!)

thanks fellas,cant wait to go,probably in sept,but now kandooma has come into the equation as wife and 4yo daughter are going as well and seems to be more kid friendly leaving me more time in the weater(hopefully)

there's also hudhuranfushi resort just south of pasta point. has it's own left hander right out the front exclusive to resort guests (maybe not so good for the locals).
stayed there over easter. surfer bookings are though the perfect wave however they restrict surfer numbers to guarantee spaces on the boats.
you can however book through non-surfing agents or directly with the resort as a non surfer and just pay per surf trip once you're there (subject to spaces on the boat) which is what i did as perfect wave spot were all full - never had any trouble getting a spot on the boats.
there's a calm lagoon out the back for the family, or as you say you can also treat them to a few nights at kandooma (also through perfect wave).
