Dream get to the beach vehicle

Reality is a hand-me-down Volvo wagon, which has been stolen, slept in, and hopefully not at the same time. It's pretty much a strictly pavement-only ride.
With surf cars getting targeted for break-ins, there's some measures for keeping a low profile.
It's stickerless, has roof bars but no outward signs of the bars used for boards until converted to do so.
The back bench gets rolled up before going out, and all is hidden under a roll-out cover for the back.
A friend has a SportMobile. Polar opposite. If you've never heard or seen one, look it up. It'll take on most anything in style, but it's a target no doubt.

Here is my old surf truck.
Barry would remember this beast.
4x4, go anywhere, lifted suspension, 5 speed.
King Size bed in the back, could fit about 10 boards under the bed, with fins out. I racked up 150000km surfing and sleeping in this truck.
Mate, if this truck could talk

Not my Truck but Wanderer's.
A great trip to Frazer Island, yes that is a sup bag it had two kneeboards in it as well. Wanderer does not know the meaning of travelling "light".

Here's my '89 VW Carat at the baja trailer. Rear seat folds into full queen size bed, and these things go a lot of places other 2WDs won't, due to superior suspension and stock ride height. No lift needed, unless you decide to get crazy, ala Steen's creation!
Nice and low profile for driving around North Baja.

Ab you will always find it in the car park. Just think you could make a nice cup of tea when you get out of the water.
Mind you, you will need a small arab state to keep it fuelled.

Hey Scott (Wanderer)
I just saw the pics that Byron posted of you and your infamous Landcruiser. Heard all about it but nice to actually see it finally. Very nice. Love the snorkel.
Looks like fun! Oh....and nice shirt by the way. And don't you even THINK about bringing those cut-off jeans up to California or you'll have to ride the bus to KneeloCove. HaHa.
