dawn patrol, ti tree-
lumpy as, out back, take offs challenging with some cross face bumps, spent half the time in the air and one or 2 waist deep, this does tend to stop forward travel
The inside of the bay was better, taking off near the finger, but this is high tide and it looks like later in the day will be better. Mind you there weren't too many people out but more arriving.
Saw 2 other kneelos on the walk out as I was coming back, good luck boys, it should only get better during the day.
The pot was starting to show some promise, didn't check granite..... but it was looking pretty windblown from the back of TT.

Tea Tree out of control this morning, breaking close or wide who knows, nobody even trying But best place to paddle out The tide is high better blondie than the stevie wonder song I had going on yesterday ' Isn't she lumpy' but i digress
off the beach at TT bay into the freight train sweep, at the boiling pot in less than 5min. Turn around and paddle like crazy to maintain position until a set comes through, out of the corner of my eye I see the lookout at the pot, I'm already past the spot, hook into a nice drop, a bit late can't make the face, recover and take the next to johnsons' come in at first point.
Walk back, well, that took an hour, the circuit from the carpark at nationals out at TT in at johnsons or 1st
Had time for another, ended up paddling in position for close to 25 min then
best wave I've had off the pot still buzzing, it was cranking from takeoff to past johnsons, mushed out in little cove where I came in.
lots of talent in the water saw one other kneelo in the lineup but didn't see him catch any, too busy my self.
gary elkington/kong has a tame jetski towing him backout, bastard
It's going to be a circus the rest of the day, I was able to pass my car space to a mate Now at home arms like jelly, abobut to have a caffeine fix.
