By the way, I hear rumours of a state "team" contest at Woolongong (where there are no waves) later this year. Sunshine Boys are go? Vicco boys are amped - Now if we could just drag some of the good surfers from Vic up there like Chemical, Pete Fairweather, Dean Bold to bolster the enthusiastics - NSW better come packing some heat...and you Sunshine lads, too.

Hello World,
Red,
Firstly, congradulations on the Presidents award......it doesn't take long for the scuttlebutt to get around after a contest eh! Well earned mate..onya.
Secondly,I haven't heard anything yet on an Interstate "Testmatch" in Wollongong. It would be interesting. But, at this stage it's too early to tell if we have the numbers interested in going to the comp in Wollongong.Let alone having enough for a team, if the "Testmatch" thingy were to take place. So far, the majority of the guys in the club are not contest motivated. They enjoy their once a month gathering for the pointscore. But,to further push that (at this stage) may be detrimental in achieving a strong kb division for the immediate to long term future up here.I guess one step at a time in getting things happening. Down the track things may change that we can put a competive and motivated team together for an interstate challenge come Testmatch,we'll see,all in time.
Hoo roo,
Again, congrads...Red.

I too have heard these rumors...
Sounds like a great idea... I suppose since it is at the rumor stage there may be some question as to the format of this event (could be a tag team thing...)
All I know is that there has been some serious widespread enthusiasm on this coming from all parts.. Myself, I cant wait for this..
I would love to hear what the final format is...
I would also love to hear that an american team would come down for this one (I know its a long shot, but someone had to say it).

So wot have the waves been like? And wot's the forecast for the weekend?

Splashy,
Be nice......otherwise Uncle Meat will be forced to sabotage your sausage sandwich or worse still, your egg and bacon roll. Now, we wouldn't want that to happen would we.
We've had some reasonable waves 3-4ft for about the last 5 or so days.Fairly clean (in the mornings) until the SE hits The best of the surf that I've seen and surfed has been at Kawana. Now that we have this huge low wacking us, It'll be stuffed for a few days and then clean up.I reckon that we'll get some real good stuff by Sat/Sunday..I hope.
I'll give you a bell tomorrow...work permitting.

Hey Meat
Can we invite that stand-up I played with last time I was up? Can we? Huh? I'm sure he'd love to come!!!! Then he can meet ALL the kneelos and he can again ask the question "I guess you must have been dropped in on a lot lately? Just call me off, ok?"
See you there on Sunday.
