Luckily its flat right now! ha, ha!Steenos wrote:the time spent doing your research, bevelling your edges, waxing you pad, chasing the cheapest dollar pad, looking for glues.......you just missed half a dozen surfs.
I do understand what you are saying, no worries mate. I have to buy a pad for this garage sale fish I bought ($25 for the fish, yo!) and I probably won't make my own pad. But I do want to research pads in the future, that's for sure. Yes, Parkes, Romo, Bud all have ridden insane waves and will continue to do so for years to come...much better waves/harsher conditions than I'll ever touch...but I'm still interested in design, you know? That's my take. If people in kneeboarding that are young aren't interested in design, kneeboarding will surely die in the near future.
Have a good one.
And Kauai kneelo...ha, ha! Don't worry, my fridays don't go to waste...but I keep it clean. If I were to take up drinking/toking I would be fatter than I am now! I'm working on losing weight and becoming weed/alcohol dependent wouldn't help with that. Some people handle that, but I don't think its for me.
