Im 44 and I can wrap my body around a peir pylon just as good now as when I was twenty! With my barrnicle poked body flailing on one side of the pyling and my "new to me" Flashy wind chimming on the other! All these years gone by.....That peir still feels the same. It's LOVE HATE She'll save me so she can slay me she keeps me humble and reminds me just how far down the Food Chain I reside.

Mick Fanning could probably help you with that.

Bill, I've had a couple of mid-life crises! During the 90's my girlfriend was 22 yrs. my junior. That wasn't good enough, I then tried to get another girl a couple of years younger then that. What the h*#ll was I thinking :?:

Alright MK ... there's no reason for you to go rambling on and on and on and on ... and on ... just get straight to the point.
Imagination is more important than knowledge.
For knowledge is limited to all we now know and understand.
While imagination embraces the entire world, and all there ever will be to know and understand.

Well I tell everyone im 32, then tell them I just dont count the 20 years of my life that I fu*cked up. (OK, im really 52)

Well it is probally way morethan that, but at least I am clean and sober now. I dont think I would have been here if I wasnt.

Yes I wear fins always, havent seen another kneeboarder in 30 years, like boards about 6.5' long, use the wetsuit hood all year and wear wetsuit gloves in winter.

Surf in the snow, sun, rain. Dont like crowds of kooks. And sometimes get kinda sore after a rippin day in the sun with frost on the ground like today.

And still all I want is more

This is a very interesting topic for me.
I'm 48, stuck in North Texas, and only get to a coast two or three times a year. My trips are usually a week or so long.
As I age, and feel my meager skills ebb, I've been wondering how long I'll be able to surf to my satisfaction.
I went to the OBX with kneebumps and was very inspired. He's still pullin' in, and he's 57.
I run everyday, lift two or three times a week, and paddle around in the local lake once or twice a week. You oughta see the looks I get from the fishermen.
