2009 is the 25th Anniversary of the Sydney Kneeboard Club - although it did start life as the Southside Kneeriders Club back in 1984 and morphed over to be the Sydney Kneeboard Club in 1995 it is 25 years of continuity and that makes us the "oldest kneeboard club in the world!".

So now it's time to CELEBRATE!!

SKC 25th ANNIVERSARY DINNER:
When: Sunday, June 7th 2009.
Where: The Orient Hotel - Rooftop Bar. The Rocks, Sydney.
Time: 6PM to 10PM
Ticket Price: To Be Advised
What's Happening: We'll have the Rooftop Bar at the Orient all to ourselves. Tickets will be for venue, food & surprises - drinks will be a cash bar - so you can drink all you want or not want. We're digging through the archives so be prepared for lots of surprises and laughs. Catch up with all your old mates, stretch the truth, double the wave size and halve the crowd - have a great time with fellow kneelos young and old. Oh yeah ... its a Sunday night but its the June longweekend so there's no excuse for out of towners - plan your weekend around 25th Anniversary.

The DO IT AGAIN Club Contest:
Yep, a contest not just for current club members but also for anybody who used to be a member of the club and still enjoys getting wet, hitting the lip, slashing a cutty and gettin' shacked!! Yep you're still gettng the wave of your life and its still only scoring a 2.5!
When: Sunday May 3rd
Where: Garie Beach
Time: 7.30AM
What Else: After The Contest we'll have a BBQ at the Garie SLSC clubhouse.

We are trying to track down as many former club members as possible so if your a former member or know guys who used to be in the club any contacts will be apprecisted. Please send them through to tonywales@optusnet.com.au

is the comp that was called off last week-end been allocated to another week-end.
It's such a nice drive to Wanda from Narrabeen,I'd love to do it again this week-end

But I can't........so please don't tell me your holding it this week-end and maybe you could let me know if it's the following week-end...........

cause I could make it that week-end.............

Hate to 'rain on your parade' Tony....isn't Sydney Kneboard Club a merger of both Southside Kneeboard Club and Northside Clubs?...so what year did you actually 'morphed' ?
The Waka's were formed back in 1991, with Eric Hahn and Wayne 'Smurf' Jennings starting the ball running , and both were Southside members at the time!! Wayne only surfed in our first pointscore ( where he finished 4th in the open final) and decided to stay competeing with Southside...he went on to win 'Southsides' Open pointscore that year (1991) he beat Mark Ashby for the title!!

The Waka's have been a fuly paid-up and insured club since 91, no breaks, no morph's till this day 18 years.....

The SKC have a proud and long history and without it we wouldn't have started ourselves.....thanks big brother

Jeez Tony would love to get back in June for that. What would be the chance of getting in to the night if I was able to sneak away from here for the weekend. Woould have to be a quick in and out.
