The Cocoa Beach Surf Museum endeavors to keep alive the history of surfing, especially in its East Coast USA expressions (I imagine them as having probably have 5 or 6 wings of their museum dedicated solely to Kelly Slater exhibits). They also have their own online magazine; the most recent featured KSUSA’s own Man O’War and his commitment to the flex spoon.

"My one regret in this interview is that as I was listing the guys who've been riding spoons since they first appeared, someone extremely important slipped my mind--Dr. Terry Hendricks. As RW once said: In San Diego when this man's name is mentioned, votive candles are lit. Terry has not only been a rider all these years but an innovator. I think he's made 50 spoons all told, and no design has ever been too out-of-the-box for him. Besides being a local legend, he is a very generous man.
