ScottMac,
Not really true, we are just gearing up for our season on the right coast, and the TWave train off the west coast of Africa has begun. Sept- Oct. will tell.
Summer has been sucky here, tho

caught some nice ones today at 9th street. 1 outsider came in and held me down for a while! I was vertically upside down holding on to my board! knowing it would make it to the surface eventually heh heh! I came up gasping
The kid that was paddling next to me was like
"that thing held me down forever!!"

A shark sighting is always a good way to get the juices flowing. lol
Surfed my local beach yesterday evening. It was only knee high but the water was nice a warm (for Satna Cruz County). I took a 9'0" rp with an 8" cut-away fin so I could bust it loose. But instead of standing I ended up KBing these little left peelers! I paddled in, popped to my knees and just trimmed along under this tiny lip! Such fun!
When it finally closed down I was just laying in the water cracking up. I had so much fun- on such a long board- in such tiny waves.
