It was going off at mid-beach this AM. Don, Danny (fish shaper stand-up,) and I were alternating between great, groomed, strong groundswell. Surprisingly warm water, complete with dolphins. It was like being transported into a surf movie!

The paddle was looooooooooong, complete with mad scrambles to avoid oblivion. Sets were hitting 14' faces (IMHO) and had plenty of strength. Winds were slighly offshore.

Just NUTS for Ides of March!

Wish we took pix. Don's back out there now.

omigod I know! What a winter--correction--spring this has been.

I opted for a left reef in north county s.c. tuesday, and it was grinding.

Two Santa Cruz kneeboarders out- Russell and Oscar

and me and my pal and one other friend...heaven

(heaven with square pitching wipouts by all!)

ob did indeed look fine that am....isn't Danny great to surf with?

Heard pleasure point was as good as it gets from others, Jon

personally speaking, I consider this amazing winter a gift of joy to make up for the profound sadness last November 6th...thank you_______ (fill in your deity)

Hey Brad,
Still had plenty of fun on Sunday! Looking forward to having you up here again.

So Gioni took some more shots... hopefully we'll be seeing them shortly.

Today was pretty fun! While mid-beach was getting trashed by SW winds, the North End had some bowls... and rips. Syd, Don and I had a good time out there. The swell dropped quite a bit, adding very favorably to the wavecount.

Also... broke YET ANOTHER FCS fin box today. Maybe it's a weight issue...

This may be it, folks. Then again, that's what I thought last week!

Hope you're all getting some! Looking forward to Joel's gathering pix.

Hi All,

Winds switched around yesterday afternoon, Got some good, steep windswell peaks. Hats off to Jon Manss!!! Got several waves where I paddeled right towards the bowl and just as the wave jacked up on the reef, I'd hit a hard 180 turn. The board always held its edge and flys like the wind.
Thanks Jon

just got back from down at Sailors.
a little bit wind blown, but still fun 4 ft waves.
checked Shellharbour early this morning, with shallows the only option.
troy and slats were going for surf check as i left, and with the wind backing off and the tide pushing back in , they should have a good surf!
tommorrow, there should be some fun ones around.
