Hmm- got more respect for the guy now that I find out he ran a decent sized vessel.
Typical -ermag crap, though, umpteen photos of pro surf twits to illustrate, surrounded by ads and as many tie-ins to the irrelevant world of mainstream surfing as possible.
On a scale of one to five rats, I give it a one:

In Doc's defense, those of us in the Northern climate are prone to fits of unsocial behaviour. I for one spend three months a year living on nothing but feral dog, beaver, and home brew. During those months, I'm best avoided. It's getting close to that time of the year, so he's best left alone.
When I get a picture of me in feral dog mode, I'll send it in. Not sure who will take it though.

One of the problems of living in the boonies is being out of touch, which ....is Ok too

There were three pics all told published. Don't have the time to dig for them. I sent them to Phil on the NZ site years ago, but he's edited his inventory down since then. Naughton came to Bird's Fish Fry in OSide this year and I asked him why he never took pics of Craig.....his reply....."You know, that question comes up more than anything else."

Dunno about you, man, but when I get to that stage it's best of they use a telephoto.....cs wrote:

Rather than feral dog, however, I prefer tourist; 'the other white meat'. You oughtta try it on the grill.....
