Well, I surfed from 7-9 AM and although I probably saw 20 guys I know (standups), suprisingly, I didn't see another kneelo. So, it must not've been me they were referring to. But, there were guys getting in my way  which was a tad frustrating since it was crowded with the Trade Show that was in town...Kneelos rip daily at Blacks so the standups must not frequent the place much. Nice to know they appreciate what they saw however 8)

There seemed to be a general conscensus from guys I spoke with at Trestles on Sunday that there is a gathering in O-side area on Feb. 13th but I think this thread goes back to last year.....

there's nothing on the calendar for Feb. 13, 2006.......Anything going on or is this thread last years news :?:

Bummer the waves didn't cooperate at Trestles but the Linn tribe was on it and may never get Uppers to themselves again in our lifetime

If there is a gathering happening in Feb. '06, someone should post it on the calendar.......

JA,

You are right, the February 13 (that would be a Monday this year) Gathering is from 2005 and was for the guys that were not headed to the 05 North Shore Gathering. It was scheduled for Torrey Pines but ended up in Oceanside.

There's a contest in OB for the Surfer Bowl the weekend of Feb 4th. All the usual suspects will be there, but a good excuse for a gathering as well.

blacks last weekend

Post by randiego »

i was at blacks last saturday 1/21 from 11-2, and I got a bunch of good waves... but "ripping"? heh heh that wasn't me.

i was at the trestles gathering with tom and the groms - they were awesome! it was entertaiing given the 55 degree water and 2 foot waves...

I was the one talking about a gathering scheduled in february, and yes it was a post from 2005. oops.

we oughta just schedule somethin', since there's nothing on the calendar presently. anyone?

re: Surfer Bowl?

Post by randiego »

What's the scoop on this Surfer Bowl? I've never heard of it - is it 3 days or what? All day?

randiego -
Surfer Bowl will probably run the kneelos first thing Saturday morning. The contest is 2 days (Sat & Sun), but that's the way they've done it in past years. If it goes smoothly we're usually done by lunchtime. Check with RW if you're interested in participating - it would be good to have more local guys involved! And entry forms are available at most local shops in OB.

Parking not a problem, plenty free spaces available.

EQ -
I'm going to work on getting Friday off this week, so maybe see you and Sprocklander at Windan or Big Rock then, if not see you Saturday!
