PANDORA'S BOX: non-kneeboardsurfing pics on this website?

Hope I haven't opened one but..

I have gone to the ALBUM section at many times now (not talking about forum links or other obvious general 'surfing' comments) and clicked on a surfer that happens to be standing up..or at other times, laying down

..And been genuinely disappointed

Like it was the wave (and location) that got me in to click in the first place..only to be given a surfer that wasn't kneeboarding only cause I couldn't tell from the initial thumbnail!

I have this thing that the only things that we are (I am) looking for here, are kneeboarders..(and kneeboards..and waves )

I can go to a heap of other sites for something else..but here, in the ol' ksusa

i just want to see kneeboarders from all over this Planet!

Not a standup or bodyboarder?

I so hope I haven't trodden on the toe(s) of any past posters

KNEEBOARDERS I also longboard but I come here to hookup with and enjoy the sport of Kneeboarding! anybody who thinks we should practice tolerance on this issue needs start thier own wave rideing site! when I go to a porn page to see a naked woman I dont wanna see a dude!! when I see a punk show I want to see punk bands not pink floyd I agree bruce, this site is a kneeboard site, specific to ones who ride waves on thier knees no big deal, want to post or view surfers who stand up or bellyboard? go to the dozens of websites catering to those needs. on a side note,
I know i'm guilty of posting images in the general surfing photo gallery when they should be posted in other galleries
I'm begining to rely only on the general surfing photo gallery for the bulk of whats being posted, probably not good.
I'll make an effort not to do that anymore

huh,????,i didnt think anyone would care THIS MUCH!!!...if someones in the barrel then its the barrel you should be stoked on,,not what the rider is on.....should surfers journal puts out an article on a kneeboarder or kneeriding??nahhhhh....those cripples should put out their own magazine...right???

and if pink floyd took place of my favorite band @ a show...ID BE WAYY STOKED...

alright i'm probably one poster most recently guilty of this practice.
and i'd have to say i did expect an anti standup sentiment in the comments below the offending shot(s?).
however the reasons for posting them was purely me being stoked about what i had seen in the water on that given day and wanting to share it.the are my own shots not borrowed from other sites.i apologise if anyone felt they wasted download time on these photos.i realise people like the subjects in some of my photos already get plenty of exposure.
this subject is of interest to me as i derive most of my influence from standup surfers.
even Bruce proudly(and rightly so i might add) drops the names of standup surfers who are impressed with his work(ie check out that beautiful flextail in the board section),he has done work for(ie the fish he made for a female pro),right down to the comments made by pro surfers and surf industry stalwarts about the sparrow's latest movie release.
i'd be the first to tell you i'm impressed by the above mentioned posts.and Bruce obviously feels the "opinions" of some standup guys are valid on our kneeboard site.
just as i feel that some standup "surfing shots" are worth a look.
but out of respect for the website i wont post anymore.

interesting footnote; after Gavin Coleman's last trip to Puerto Escondido
several shots of Gavin were posted riding smaller waves on a bigwave kneeboard.the one shot featuring large conditions shows us one of the best kneelos on the planet dropping in on a, wait for it.......surfboard!!!!!
and i thought it was a cool shot

and you'd never guess who posted it.

and whats wrong with paipo Kava????,,,,just not enough of em in the water to be accepted as an alternative way of surfing???.....the pot calling the kettle black .......lets just all chill out....get irie ,,drinks some of that kava/beer (not mixed)and enjoy the mixing pot of surfing that brings so many together......

As long as the material gets put in it's proper category,which is my main bitch.

But seriously..all have made good points..and the 'opposing' views of Scotty Mac and Ross make very good sense

For the record..I have no problem whatsoever with pics like David Parkes' son Garrett (riding a standup) because it has a positive link to all kneeboarders in general as is of great interest (and I hope to see more)

Just like Colman kneeriding one minute, and standing up the next

I don't want to differentiate between surfing and surfers at all..just create something a little more specific and unique to the kneeboarders who visit ksusa

If it involves direct relationships with standups, bodyboarders or windsurfers that's all good..

But if its 'disposable'.I guess I'd rather not see it..

hey Scott,
man i'm glad i wasnt the only one thinking things are getting a little bland in the forums .
and i reckon its good Bruce opened up Pandoras Box and we're all having a fair and measured look at the topic.
i guess discussion like this will keep the sight heading in the right direction
