Hey Ocean.... I`ll be there. I just haven`t figured out how to surf it. Do I want to go out and try and win, or jsut go out have try some fun stuff. Meanning , doing handstands, taking off backwards, spinners, things of that nature. I was told it was to just have fun. So , if I can make to laugh, is that fun ?? But again, I don`t want to make fools out of us KBers either

lien air style?
i'm going out there for two reasons - i'll get to meet other local kneelos and see some other people kneeboarding. i'm always stoked to see someone else ride and what lines they draw. the second - i think contests are fun. sure i'll "try and win" by surfing as best i can with the waves i get, but i'm not going to start a back-paddling war and jock for every line that passes through. its just the PB longboard classic, after all.
i figure as long as i just try and surf well and have fun it'll be a worthwhile experience. lets just hope there is enough size/punch on saturday for my 6'2" pin tail.

Good to see all you that could make it, and thanks to RW for all is hard work. Good vibe, cool trophies, and a refreshing leap in the grom presence.
Hey, anyone make it to Big Rock after?

Why do Moroccan tree climbing goats make great pets?
a. They'll mow, and fertilize, your lawn.
b. They can climb trees!
c. Goat's milk, cheese, yogurt, etc is pretty tasty
d. The goats themselves are pretty tasty.

I know I had a great time... Thanks again RW.... But it was more fun went Rick and I took the Groms out to the point to the north. They all hung in there when we all played "dodge the rock boils". Then they went with us to Big Rock. The younger ones stayed to the outside and hooted and haulered at the rest of us............
Next yr, you guys are GOING DOWN !!!!!!!!!

wheres the stoke?
Had a good time at the P.B.longboard classic and after that...It was a great day at Big Rock!! 8 KNEEBOARDERS at big rock I havent seen that many since 1983 and I saw Kids..KIDS on Kneeboards! dropping in on waves that I KNOW some of you grown men are SCARED to do! I saw a picture posted on the site of a group of Young KNEEBOARDERS and other pics of some of these kids k-b'ing at the contest and the rest of you"promoters of kneeboarding to the world" show about as much enthusiasum as a bunch of geriatrics watching paint dry....SHAME ON YOU!!! why is that?? cause it wasnt KSUSA sponsored? I dont know would somebody tell me?? I thought this site was about the STOKE and hanging together as kneeboarders!! if we dont pass this on it dies with us get off your self important butts and pass the stoke along to the younger, up and coming groms they wanna learn and be a part of this aspect of surfing! I had a wonderful time hanging with the kids between heats and the finals they ask a lot of questions and want to hear all the stories! well I hope theres a good turn out at Tresells! look forward to seeing all of you there! and If anybody wants I personally teach them the "Doubleup El rolo airdrop on your face move" for free ! LOL!! you know I surfed the next day at Big Rock with Mitchell Pellegrin (the enforcer ) some of you might remember him! he got a classic wave on sunday! I could hear his familiy cheering for him from the beach!! it was a great weekend wish the rest of you could have been there!! SHOW SOME STOKE!!.......

Hey Rick...I'm glad you're so stoked on the grom thing! @ 20 I'm really new to this still (6 sessions total? 1 today that was fun! Strong south swell with a little blockage from Catalina = fun breakers at Manhattan Pier!), and a grom at heart, and I really hope I make it down to the Trestles Gathering, it sounds like you could provide some classic advice and stories! I'd love to surf Big Rock someday, FYI, once I get my control down on the kneeboard. PEACE! KEEP THE STOKE and help the new generation!
dropkneeing is a sin...isn't it?

Great time at the P.B. contest, it was all about fun and Groms. A big thanks to R.W.
If the finals had been based on points instead of top three in each heat, it may have been an all Grom final.
We have waited decades to see this new group come along.
Congratulations to all the young-uns that surfed so well!
