Have just made the drop and a long fast bottom turn, pumped once and am sighting down a long, glassy 2XOH wall with speed to burn and endless possibilites ahead...

on a wave

I actually voted for getting shacked but I do love that couple of milliseconds just after or into the drop process where your speed and adrenalin is at it's peak- going surfing tomorrow but I think it will be lame!!Got excited thinking about it though!!

Not a poser tube ride, or a cut under the lip.

But, a clean tube that breaks on the face of the wave beyond the nose of the board. The view of the trees, the land and the others framed by the lip is my favorite. The way that time slows and the details are all evident.

Too far back in the tube there isnt a view out of the wave as it bends when it hits the bottom. It is like a crazy admusment park ride, where you dont really know where you are till you snake your way back out and the exit shows just as you are flyin out 8)

Iam crazy for barrels, and kneeboarding i get plenty of oportunity, but if u want to talk about the future of the sport you have to think progressive, all air manouvers will be the future aim, and these should stand out in competitions just like they do on freesurf when someone puls one. A Flip or "el rollo" has to well rewarded, for the risk and show it provides spectators, inovation is the way to have new objectives, any sport that comes to a stand is a dead sport and no kneeboarders want that, so lets keep on barreling but ocasionaly try something new, and mostly educate judges on the subject.

A bottom turn in "the pit". You know...often when a wave is about to pitch...the base goes concave...below the waterline. Sweet. 8)
