Sorry about that, thats just Beelines way of putting you on the right track. There are a few forums that go into pads in depth. Read up on them, maybe start them up again. There should also be photos of them as well. If you ask some specific questions you will get loads of advice.
Keep in mind the only production pad available in SoCal is the Romo. The rest you will have to get from Oz or Hawaii. There is also the option of making your own. This can turn out quite well and is very cheap.
Wal-mart has peel and stick pads that cost .50 cents each. I put 4 pads on my new board and have surfed it for 2 months without any delam. They only come in black and I found them in the arts and crafts dept.
i will third the Parkes pad. been getting tons of fun surf on that board, Jimbo. when you coming down for a session? i'm doing a marathon all-day session tomorrow at blacks.
#1: C.P. Odom's custom yoga mat pads... soooo cushy. The pads on my new Flashpoint are pretty nice too. I really have no idea what they are. Anyone? They aren't the bling ones like I've seen, just basic black pads. cs
go to any health club and ask for a yoga mat. they come in all diffrent colors (sort of like wet suits in the 80's ) I happen to know they sell them in the excercies section of walmart and target' too. but i like the parkes pad as previously mentioned
