Where the hell is this supposed swell? It's perfect conditions here in town. Both bars are honed to perfection,it's 1/2 ft and unrideable.
Probably head south early morn, nephew says it's been fun north of town[sc]
Live steamer cam shows some fun ones at the lower tides, might do that.Forgot how much fun that place is... :) cheers!

K-man,

Beware the heavy NW winds if you're planning on surfing here north
of town. I made the trip up north Sat. morning and got skunked. Friends
tried yesterday morning early and turned back before they got to
Davenport due to heavy white capped conditions.

That said, I ended up getting two good days of surf at the beachies
here in the bay, mostly background NW and wind swell Saturday but
crossed up with some decent south sets yesterday. Biggest were a good
6' on the face. Good hollow, dredging sandbar made em seem a lot
more powerful! 8)

Thanks for that.Might still do the drive and hit the lane early. The cam has been showing decent waves on the lower tides.Gotta get out of town.A small crowd don't bother me....
South jumped a bit today.Another ft or so by tom. and it'll be rideable here.

Nice to know there were a few KBers in the area.Hung out at the next small point down from swift, john st.Really fun, decent size, small fun crowd.Got in about 7 and out a bit after 11.
The lane was pretty good early, but the alpha crowd was out....
Took atrip to the east side about 1,said hello to a few friends.Stopped in the shop, john was busy, said hello.Went back to the lane, and it was real nice, really glassy,Some good ones, not crowded  Almost went back out...Couldn't bear the though of city traffic after 4pm.

It seems like we're getting the best of both hemispheres. This Southern Hemi. swell is on the decline right before the weekend, but were getting a NW sell for the weekend, then back to a SW and a NW for the coming week. :D

K-man, you must have just missed me,I was surfing the cove just inside of there. I surfed it from dawn to about 8 on thursday. I was out on my new blue flexspoon getting some good rides, even a small barrel in the inside. Funny you were down there, I was thinking I should have gone up to your neighborhood.
It could be worse, I could be in Oakla-homa.

 ...I looked down that way and saw a few folks, but didn't pay much attention.Got back to town about three.Checked the channel right, looked fun, still small though.
These last few swells haven't been very good, too much south, likes a litlle west from 220 or so.
Anyways the NW will jump tom, followed by a bigger south, the combo could be the ticket for town. The reefs have been crap for months, too much wind.

cheers

Did you post a pic of the flex spoon?
