no criticism intended, Bob
just observations based on a LOT of frame by frame examination and applied practice

I surf rights better cos i surf more rights but i also stood up before i knelt down so maybe that pre-programmed my feel

we have some very fast lefts at 13th and they are quite a different ride compared to the rights...more hollow and less chance to reo so surfing style and even board selection changes

walk but leave no prints-

a well positioned footprint can be quite inspiring...a few yogis have left them in solid rock through out the Himalaya...hand prints too...less than subtle messages of the possibilities

hey Smells,

you got a Mandala??? Tell us about it... I tried to get him to shape me a board, but he claims he's too backlogged. I guess he's a Pavel protege.

Today in O`side, they had a long board contest and one of the contestents was warming up were Smells and I were surfing and the funny thing was that he asked me if I only go left too ?? Trying not to laugh, I told him I can go either way. I saw alot of that this mornning. If they couldn`t go they way they wanted to, they didn`t go at all.
The other funny thing was that Smells and myself were out paddling them. :D :D :D

i think smelly tee is refering to his meditation gong he uses to align his chi..... :o such a mystic

a mandala board would be a killer ride though..check it

his "new gallery" is really cool too...theres a sweet resin tinted romo-spoon

or a bonzer fish with a pretty forward fin placement...

And what I think is so cool about Mandala is that he could spend upwards of 20 years in prison ( thanks to the South African government ) get out, do so much humanitarian work and still find time to make killer boards :!:

Jerry...jerry...jerry-Your in the penalty box for that one!.....

Doc strange had a nice mandala quad.Manny wouldn't push up the fins,so he made it a bit wider.Boards 5'3''..Doc's 5'4''.I rode the board and it worked well enough as I weight about 160.Had to sit on the tail, and surf a bit more upright.5'8'' or 10''would have been more better.
Manny shows up here once in awhile, likes the channel lefts.Nice guy.Think he'd be riding hot boards....Ones I saw were trashed.... figures.

See quite a few at OB.Most don't what they've got,and don't know how to ride them.Saw afew last fall there that knew how,and they went real good.Good looking boards, quality stuff.

cheers

Don ordered a wood kneeboard from Danny Hess... but I don't think it's arrived yet. Those two seem to have the OBSF fish market right now.

in the great search of the majestic, magical flying carpet(s) it does nothing to hold on to that which is metophorically and physically over your head in design and construct. the better thing for your soul and the health of ones aurora is to release that which doesn't sing to you, from the very beginning. to set it free to find its true owner is the thing we were all put on this planet for!
I'm always concerned about the health of my aurora.

But it takes me 20 or so surfs to get a board wired - so I hang onto them till I love them and then never let them go.

I sure my aurora is suffering interminably.

Smells you again have enlightened me to my lack of kneeboard design knowledge and general need for more mystic syrup and pancakes (hold the raw bacon please). I'm hoping you'll be selling something I can use to lay around on and watch the fish and Paipo's go by.

Saw you guys hangin' with the loggers and headed to my usual crowded, attitiuded out, surf spot many many miles to the south.
