Birthday surf this morning at third spot checked. A finicky beach break just now starting to work after a LONG hiatus. Combo swell making some decent wedging OH peaks, 15mph stright offshore. Maybe 10 others the water. Steep late drops, bottom turn, off the lip, and fizzle...still, glad to get some on this day. El Porto looked pretty good on the cam, anyone get any of that?

Double session in Mex today. 2nd session at BM's was off-the-hook - a total barrel-fest. OH sets, sheet-glass. The wind turned offshore right when we got out - about 3pm.
Oh yeah - nobody out.
PS - Happy Birthday RT!

OSL!!

Good size south swell this morning, and actually decent shape at the point, but a chocolate-malted e.coli mess. No takers...
Two people walking on the berm when I crossed the bridge this morning, and the torrent nearly bank to bank...idiots! Search and resuce may be giving free helicopter rides again this year. Looks like it's gonna break thru today.
Thx R-diego, I'm jealous.
(W.G., no surf yesterday?)

Saturday Morning 7
Moss Landing Dunes
4-6 foot
SE wind 10-20mph gusts @ 30 mph
Hard to get in the barrels but once in it was good.
Sunday Morning 7:30
Santa Cruz River mouth
4-6 foot side shore wind.
Had a photo session with the boys straight south wind killed it at 9pm. It was the only place breaking at the time and the rain is coming down hard. I wacked my head pretty good on a double up then pattled around in circles for a little while. The water was very cold, and dirty but no logs or branches. I plan on going out again at low tide in the evening.
