Im building a store of info to apply to my surfing on the quad soon as it turns up. About two weeks - in time for easter - HUEY ALWAYS GIVES US SOMETHING FOR EASTER - OM TO HUEY!!!
Thus Im hoping to be thinking 'on my knees' as it were, about whats happening (or not happening) as it happens (or does'nt)
all this is food for thought and Ill seek further council from those you suggest soon
by the way, what do you slice you bread on now?!
cheers

Quads !!!
Fisherrat,
I started out on a Neil Austin Bonzer - then to a 5'4" x22.75" Friar Tuck Quad Dovetail (By Albert Whitman) then to a 5'8" x23" Dave Parkes Quad Diamond Pin.
I've just ordered another Quad from Dave Parkes (6'2" x23" Rounded Pin)
so do you see a patern forming here ???
Quads have an inherant action of sticking well to a steep wall and carve bottom turns and cutties so much better than tri's !!!
The decision on the new board was made by talking it over in a one hour phone call to Dave Parkes.
You have to weigh up your surfing style - conditions that you will use the board in and body size & weight !!!
I surf more of a rail to rail style with deep hard cutbacks - so the quads help me to stick moves that I make - tri's turn more from the rear - quads from the centre !!!
My best advice is to give Dave Parkes an email and talk about the above mentioned areas - then make a decision on which direction you want to go ???
Dave Parkes:
