God i shouldve entered...
its gonna be pumping! ...early heats will be much more managable with the higher tide but as soon as it drops....
dive deep and grab that kelp! Gonna need a strong leash!
I still wanna come down and check it out but trestles might not let me

It sounds like there's still a chance for some beach entries if we need to fill a heat.

heat times
Heat times are now posted at:
http://www.surfwsa.org/
First round runs from 8:45 to 9:30 (15 min x 3 heats/6 man). First goes to final, 2nd and 3rd to repo.
Repo is 11:15 to 11:30 - top 3 to final.
Final goes at 4:45 to 5:05 (we agreed to go last in order to get a 20 minute final.)
I'd consider all these times "approximate" and arrive with plenty of time. Hopefully the surf outside the contest area will be entertaining. Bring some food, drinks and make a day of it!

sweeeeet looking contest. I hope to make it, and meet some new kneelo buds if I do. I'm damn rusty on a kneeboard after being out of the water for months until the 22nd of this past March, but I'm stoked to at least SEE some great surfing, even if I'm not doing it myself!
dropkneeing is a sin...isn't it?

Metal,
Joe, Brad and I are aiming to be on the beach at 8:15 - we're leaving my house (University City) at 6:45 a.m. You probably don't want to cut it too close.

COVE IT UP
I have been at BOLSA all week, working on a new move. I'm pulling 98% of the time. Heat winner for sure and I can do it on any size wave!!!! I call it the TOAD or TOADS. Watch out Blacks Crew!

Metal,
Look for the scaffolding and pudgy, sunburnt judges eating donuts and drinking coffee - that's where the contest will be!
