It's nice to know that the infrastructure is in place, and that the health system is working as it should.
Hopefully it will work this well once a real pandemic comes along.
As Scott indicated with his flu stats, this one is a bit over-hyped.
Dan, good luck with your Jazz fest!

where is this? Fantasylandrandiego wrote:It's nice to know that the infrastructure is in place, and that the health system is working as it should.

our healthcare system (if you could even call it that) is (depending on location) moderately to severely understaffed due to nursing and other healthcare worker shortages. in other words if you live in a very rural area don't buy any green bananas and write your will.
a real pandemic would completely throw this already bad situation into a complete and utter breakdown resulting in not only the people who have whatever the hell pandemic disease de jur but all the other folks who have everyday emergencies giving up their ghosts in record numbers. if you had a heart attack how would you feel about going to a building crammed full of people with the plague?
the only way we could possibly make this situation any worse would be to socialize medicine. give the Sahara to the government and within two weeks it would be hotter and dryer and within three weeks there would be a shortage of sand.

no pork in the lineup
i just returned from three weeks in the vallarta area. two good head high swells hit during my stay. lots of misinformation going around in mex. many closed restaurants etc. but those who will be open for the summer are staying open.sporatic confirmed cases. they check you for temp.at the airport give you a sticker that you have to display in order to get on the jet. i plan to go down again in july. the line ups are wide open. the barrels come in multi calibers.
