Scored clean chest high+ waves this morning! High tide shorebreak was working with both lefts and rights. I really enjoy sessions where a kneeboard can be surfed just slightly faster than shorebreak can peel. Saw two boards get snapped today both epoxies-maybe just because there's more of them in the water nowadays.
A fun day of surf for Central Florida!!

Third week going down here in paradise.came in on the 28.South swell arrived 2 days before I got here...so it started for me the next day.Solid fun overhead.Crowded early, the work crowd leaves by 8am,so there's a space of several hrs, before the mid morn crowd shows up.
If it don't go onshore or strong trades, the blistering, unforgiving sun chases the fair skinned back to the rock...
I'm dark skinned so;no problem for me. Nw swell followed the dimming south.Ran up to the bay..They were calling it 4-6... right.Opted for a reef right further south.Good.Next day went back and surfed hanalea fun to good, not a bad crowd.Sat between bowls and that middle spot and picked off the middle swingers.
South picked back up,surfed around poipu, more fun Souths have been filling in every few days.Had a good pulse yesterday, well overhead, abit smaller today.Another nw hit up at hanalei today!!My bro robbie says I have the magic juju.. Will get the bay report tonite, this south is dimming,so that may be the call.Smokin rock?....Stayed home... 8)

cheers

Back home...

Managed a session on Sunday AM mid-beach. It was fairly fun, mostly because of the heat wave.

By the time I left, what a zoo! On the beach, that is. Women in bikinis, but no Bay to Breakers nudity.

It continued to drop, and it's pretty darn small and weak right now... better off where you are, K!

All-time swell forecast to hit in the next few hours here and continuing relentlessly in to the middle of next week.

Jakarta kneelos are back on the feral boat for 4 days and I'm stoked to be given the go ahead for a blitz on the local slabs... good days ahead for everyone in Indon :D :D :D

Be careful out there lads, hope you've got your wetsuits and helmets and enough beer, betadine and voltaren to see you through safely! Semoga pulang sehat, aman dan stoked banget!

Looks like the waves are on for everyone at the moment!!

Surf has been great here all week...while I have been at work!!
Still foggy mornings but beautiful sunny dead calm days.

The weekend brings strong offshores and swell, yes!!
getting there is often as good as getting there

After a flat winter, I had the most fun surf sesh of the year at my local on Saturday. I checked it as the tide came up to my minimum level (above the worst rocks). I found super glassy fun steep peelers 3-4' on the inside, with shoulder high plus sets coming through on the outside and breaking clean all the way in. Perfect windswell, perfect tide for this rock reef. Due to the foggy weather there was NO ONE OUT. I counted 25 people in the water the week before in crappy conditions. I had it all to myself for 30 minutes, shared it with another local for the next 30 minutes, then one more guy showed up. We all surfed different parts of the break, never a conflict. A foursome showed up after another hour, I figured I'd had my fill so I took one more outsider, multiple cutbacks, all the way in and called it an afternoon and walked up the steps and around the corner to home. My neighbor said there were 15 people in the water by 4:00pm. Stoked to have gotten on it early.

Sounds like this is a worldwide epic week of surf 8)

Pre-empted the forecast swell today and took the day off to find the swell hadn't arrived yet :( Still, it was shoulder high and barreling it's nads off with the occasional spitter. Crowds were up a bit today, I had to take a friend as the wife needed the car and I needed a ride  No complaints, it was great to surf with someone :D :D :D

Anyone coming to indon in the next few weeks, the water temperature is still insanely warm. I broke a sweat just paddling out! Weird weather patterns. SE Trade winds but rain every afternoon and higher than normal humidity.

Swell hit Bali yet steve?
