Kneeboard travel advice
I'm a long time traveling surfer with plenty of airline horror tales over the years. Recently I've become just about tapped out over United et al surfboard charges. Kneeboarding looks very interesting for several reasons including perhaps easier travel. What is airline travel with one or two kneeboards in a double bag like? Can you call them "wakeboards" and if so do airlines charge less per board than the current United cost of $175/ board?

No discounts for kneeboards, I just paid that price on a trip. Best rate going is with JetBlue if they fly to where your going. Maybe a friendly kneeboarder will lend you a board at your destination. There is a "kneeboard bank" posting here.
