ive heard of this video before....finally i get to watch it...

Great to see this video--I saw one right from a more straight on angle many years ago on pacificwaverider.com, right after Phil rode this wave. I've never seen it again. Nice to know this video, from a different cameraman, is now available for all.

This particular ride is, of course, the same ride from which that famous still shot was taken from one of the boats in the channel and has been re-posted several times on this site.

The two air drops that Phil lands on this wave, particularly the first one, are so difficult and such a testimony to his guts, skill and balance. Go though it frame by frame and try to imagine yourself in the same situation...
