Hey mark, cretin here from cretinville pththththththththth you only get large numbers at the AFL cause there's bugger all else to do in melbourne apart from drink piss and eat which you can do at the footy.
I rest "my" case

MJ wrote: You need to understand that for the greater part of Australia Rugby does not exist, except perhaps as a very minor niche sport. Crumbs even sons of ex Rugby League greats such as Keiren Jack now play AFL in preference of League. All I can say to you is enjoy it while you can, its days are numbered. :(
I probably don't need to point out the irony inherent in a participant on this forum making the statement above, but I'm gonna do it anyway. If AFL is to footy what the WCT is to surfing, then I'm gonna stick to League, the kneeloism of the football world.

As for finesse and sophistication, I have two words for you: Wayne Carey.

Hi Hooper. Think you might be getting confused, Sydney has the gay mardi grass. Trust we will be seeing you on the island next year. You can register now at www.2011kneeboardsurfingworldtitles.com
My entry is already in.

Walruss, the tickets went in the mail today.

Kev, thanks for the support.

AB, Melbourne was rated the world's most livable city how many times in a row?

RmcKnee, In regards to WayneCa rey I acknowledge the guy is a pig and I turn off any media he is on. Having said that all codes have their gooses and given NRL's checked history do you really want to open that particular can of worms?? PS. I did manage to get waves at Snapper.

Hey MJ, getting waves at Snapper is easy. Hell, about half these tontos de goma managed it.

The NRL's chequered history is down to one thing only: money. Too many dollars and insufficient sense. I fondly remember my childhood when you could see your local footy heroes every garbage collection day running behind the compactor, swinging a gal steel bin off each shoulder. The sports writers had a bit more class than to follow those guys around waiting for indiscretions. That kind of stuff sort of seeped out of the public bar discreetly, if at all.

Ahh ... take me back to 1962 ... I guess I just wasn't made for these times.

Lol, Love the photo I guess that was on an uncrowded day.
Easter Saturday morning I started counting the crowd and gave up when I got to 150 so I drove round to D'bah and scored some rippers with a small mellow crowd. Mind you the grinding barrels I surfed with AB were definitely a highlight of the trip.

When are the Aussies gonna don some pads, and play a game of rugby with the Oakland Raiders, I mean just for fun :P Also, how can you guys have a kneelo contest in a place that has no waves?

Who said there's no waves, what about all the tanker wakes

MJ i started playing league in primary school when it was weight divisions
totally fair and a lot safer but then the powers that be decided it would be better to have age divisions so us little public school groms had to play private school monster ringins team mates getting legs and cheek bones broken soon put an end to my league days, so i tried soccer, couldn't get my head around the off side rule so started AFL won 2 premierships and played in the Gold Coast side in Melbourne in 76 played on ringwood oval in the mud which is about the same sized ground as the MCG got our arses handed to us on a plate had to retire cause everyone else grew and i didn't [ that arse on a plate thing again] Took up kneeboarding full time and have injured myself more surfing than i ever did playing footy but i'm still pulling in
