Surf report 2010

Post by khoningford »

Solid SW swell hitting the upper jetties today, 4 to 6' with some 8'+ bombs thrown in just to keep things interesting. Offshore Flo had Coastal Eddie in a serious headlock and made him say "uncle". Even a few pros in town getting some, with so many photographers on the beach it reminded me of the old "Studio 54" days.

Great time at the Cove today! Kneelo fest - Mark, Wayne, Casey, Cake, Carl, The Commander, Razor, Shew, Ed, Shane - hope I did not forget anyone. HH peaks - so fun. Ed got the barrel of the day for sure!

surf report 2010

Northern Baja report-2' overhead on the largest sets at our favorite south swell beach break, a little inconsistent, but some throating barrels. No one out and a 23 minute Sentri line border wait.

Nor Cal..day after day of light winds warm weather and south swell.
Surfed this afternoon(Sunday) with 5 guys at the most.
Will it ever stop. Rain coming but it may stay rideable.

Perfect day for the mat .....almost a mini gathering of mats at Taco bell reef.. 3 of us all getting 4 to 6XOH (on the mat) rides and crossing paths once the peaks link on the inside.....

onshore on the outside , offshore on the inside.... "Bullshiit Barrels"...

Surfed Waddell Creek yesterday; head high wind swell/NW ground swell reef break. Pretty weird waves, actually. Although it was a sunny morning it was the most bonechilling water in which I've surfed for a long time. Probably 49 degrees. About 5 guys out and all of us just freezing. Duck diving was a special thrill!

At least it was too cold for the Landlord, too...

Been Bogus up here for weeks... No bars in town. The north reefs and other hidey holes are wind blown...shredded!.
Two more days....off to kauai....5 weeks.. Got the west side surf report from last week. The bros were surfing the good left for days.Crowded early as usual.By ten the crowd dispersed. Most can't take the heat, don't bother me,hotter the better means less people.

cheers.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves? Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here? Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
