contacts in the surf any problems?

Ive tried using disposable contacts, but out of the water I prefer to be "blind" or wear my specs, so putting the contacts in/out all the time is a bummer....

any more info / feedback from users of seaspecs ? eg comfort, do they ever come off, anyone lost a pair etc

Im keen to give them a try, although being half blind in the water has its upside - youve always got an excuse for that embarrasing drop-in......

yes it is the splash or the spray that does the damage
the fine adjustment for me came from experimentation
and I do vary things depending on the nature of the surf and the break

stray from the prescription by more than a few steps will make night driving more difficult
I have pulled over to the side and wiped out the contacts in favour of the glasses as the sun went down

I sometimes will uses a few contacts in a day
and also prefer to have the glasses for normal stuff and driving

this is why I go for the dailys and don't care if I loose them
or just toss them for convenience ... then another set for the afternoon surf session
I have a mirror in the surf bag and lots of spares .... always ready to go

I never use then for anything else but surf
... or other sport if I was still playing basketball and rugby

I have had good luck with the Clearsights but just shy of using them in the water again. The UV protection really makes a difference, especially here in the sub tropics. We also have very warm water that is extremely salty and may have had some effect wearing them surfing. Had several that broke apart and were difficult to dig out and one that the Doc had to get.
