thats the reason i switched to Toobs Bluntcut from Vipers. the Toobs are more flat on top and have much more contact. IMO they are very similar to Churchills except they are not side specific which is a big plus when you lose a fin. they don't have a big size though. i wear a size 12 and cannot fit any bootie with their XL. they are also easy to walk in (comparatively) and stand up to all the rocks and coral here. i just dont walk on my heels  i like to employ what i call my groveling technique. i only need maybe 10" of water and flip the board over so the skegs are up and push it out in front of me until i reach deep enough water to paddle normally.
walking in fins sucks. the bigger the fin the more it sucks. waddle with pride though 8)

Bob wears that getup all year 'round, yet still complains when longboarders get more waves than him! :D :D

i was being serious Damo!
yeah...check em out Mike.....good kneeboarding fins. i still have my Vipers that i keep in my boat. all around great utility fin. whether freediving to unstuck the hook or swimming in to a beach or bodysurfing they have fantastic thrust for how relatively small they are 8) years ago Red visited and pointed out how the ribs on the top of the Vipers did'nt allow much contact. it was true so it started bugging me. i did'nt want to grind those ribs down either cus they are a big part of their thrust.
when i first kneeboarded with the Toobs, immediately the wax all over the tail section of my board started turning black from the rubber. i surmised this must mean it's contacting much better. i rarely have them slip off the side of the board as well. 8)
