Point Impossible Sat 9th - who the kneelo? - outa reef

Post by jdc »

better known as possos

surf here with finger on occassions.

turned up today after having surfed here a few times during the week knocked up on cold and flu meds. (too silly to give it a rest) Windy each session around 20 to 25knots offshore... salt spray eye blast, blind drops stuff...

swell picked this am but wind too, howling up to 30 odd knots. Could not drag myself into another salt blast despite the interesting swell 4 to 6ft. (tomorrow the call @ 10ft..good viewing, mysto spots etc)

howeve,r whilst sitting in the cold windy sun, feeling my age, I was tempted out (but resisted) by some pretty good kneeboarding in challenging conditions. Whoever it was and they were well out the back on a low tide, was setting a high wave count and flick over the lip before close out style that was not being matched by foot surfers.

Lotsa longboards flying all over the joint

saw another kneelo head out to inners but didnt see him in action- most of those punters getting washed down the beach to the east.

Was it finger out at outas?

who ever it was..it looked impressive from the seat at the top of the stone stairs, most were straight linning it, this guy was prepared to cut back :!:

Then a long walkback to the outers paddle out only to end up back at the point!

Heh Gary, glad ya scored something!

tomorrow ( Tuesday ) looks good with varying reorts on size from 4 to 6 and some 6 to 8.

I will take 5ft.

at least the wind has backed off a bit which make things easier. Smaller swell would help the currents too.

gota a new xcel 3/4 xzip for birthday so first bash in it tomorrow

well the swells were big but the quality seemed low, winds didnt help, off shore in general but strong to howling.

caught up with finger after paddeling back and forth from outa to inner back to outa reef at possos.

coupla fun ones but with all that swell youd expect/hope for more

all ways god to surf with another kneelo :!:

the search continues (despite having fewer rip curl labels in my ensemble)
