I just returned from a 4-week surf trip, one week in California and 3-weeks in Alaska. I surfed everyday. The paddling shape is coming around.

Did anyone collect the trophys from the Nationals event? I emailed them to pickup Evan's trophy at the next contest and was told it may have been thrown out.

Not me Curtis. I got stuck with two last season for months, tried returning one to the NSSA, but they wouldn't take it.
Not making that mistake again.
I believe it if your not there to pick up the trophy, they will chuck it, not even reuse it.

Four days out before the season begins,

Anyone can compete, just join the NSSA and register for the event.
However I understand to qualify for the West Coast Championships and a chance at the National Championships however, you will have to compete in all the contests.

Contest #3 • Nov 23 • CARDIFF BY THE SEA - SEASIDE REEF

Contest #5 • Apr 19 • OCEANSIDE – SOUTH JETTY
2014 West Coast Championships • May 15-18 HUNTINGTON BEACH - PIER
2014 National Championships • Jun 14-19 HUNTINGTON BEACH - PIER

NSSA webpage says they will post times Friday

Bring the flat-slab for small surf Solspot's looking for 2-3'
and some patience, with the current 'heat wave' the coast will be packed,
suggest you go dawn patrol to the "Cove" with the crew to warm up, and then just hang out till the heats start.
