U.S. Kneeboard Titles to be Held at Huntington Beach Pier February 15

Huntington Beach, CA (January 20, 2019) – The 2019 Kneeboard Surfing USA Titles and Kneeboard Festival will be held on the south side of Huntington Beach Pier, February 15. 

One of the premier kneeboarding events in the world, the Kneeboard Surfing USA Titles attracts 64 of the sport’s top competitors. In addition to the open division, the 2019 event will feature Women’s, Junior’s, and Pro Junior’s divisions.

The 2019 US Kneeboard Titles will serve a US qualifying event for the 2020 World Titles in Dunedin, New Zealand. Results from KSUSA Titles are used to seed US surfers into the World Titles.

“In addition to pushing performance levels, the U.S. Titles provides valuable exposure for a sport that continues to thrive amongst a hard-core group of riders – many of whom have been competing for decades,” said KSUSA President Brad Colwell.

One of the longest-running events of its kind in the world, KSUSA has previously hosted 13 U.S. Titles and one World Titles event.

Heats will begin at 7 a.m. weather and waves permitting. The public is invited to attend this free event with outstanding views of the competition available from the beach and along Huntington Beach’s famous pier. In addition to the individual divisions, this year’s event will feature a first-ever Father-Son/Father-Daughter Expression Session.

A pre-event gathering will be held Thursday, February 14 at 6 p.m. as well as an awards program on February 15 immediately following conclusion of the contest. All evening festivities will be held at Mario’s Mexican Food and Cantina located at 18603 Main Street, Huntington Beach.  Located just three miles from the contest site.
