20th Anniversary Kneeboard Surfing USA Titles to be held at Huntington Beach February 17

Huntington Beach, CA (December 10, 2022) – The 2023 Kneeboard Surfing USA Titles and Kneeboard Festival will be held at the Huntington Beach Pier on Friday, February 17, 2023. The event will celebrate 20 years of KSUSA-sponsored competitions and is expected to attract top international competitors.

“The KSUSA titles has an amazing history going back to our first event in November 2003 at Pleasure Point, Santa Cruz,” said KSUSA President Brad Colwell. “That three-day contest is fondly remembered for its great vibe on the beach, fierce competition in the water, and lively post-surf gatherings – all of which have been key ingredients of every KSUSA event held since.”

The Kneeboard Surfing USA Titles is one of the longest-running kneeboard surfing competitions and one of the premier kneeboarding events in the world. In addition to the Open division, the 2023 event will feature Women’s, Junior’s, and Pro Junior’s divisions.

Over 20 years, KSUSA has hosted 14 US Titles and one world title event at four different venues (Pleasure Point, Steamer Lane, Oceanside, and Huntington Beach). KSUSA has crowned seven Open Division Champions and five Women’s Division Champions.

The 2023 and 2024 US Kneeboard Titles will be used as a qualifying event for the 2024 Kneeboard Surfing World Titles in South Africa. Results of the 2023 and 2024 US Kneeboard Titles will be used to rank US Team Members competing in the World Titles.

Heats will begin at 7 a.m. weather and waves permitting. The public is invited to attend this free event. Registration information for the 2022 Kneeboard Surfing USA Titles is available at www.ksusa.org.
